According to the results of observations, the content of pollutants in the atmospheric air in the II quarter did not always meet the established standards. Excess quality standards were recorded according to sulfur dioxide, solid particles (non -component in composition of dust/aerosol) nitrogen dioxide, squat ozone and formaldehyde.

In the areas of observations with a discrete sampling regime (Molodezhnaya St., 135 and d. 158), compared with the previous quarter, the content of solid particles (dust/aerosol in composition) decreased by 31%, oxide carbon – carbon of oxide by 24%, sulfur dioxide – by 15%, the average per quarter concentration of dioxide nitrogen decreased 2.3 times, the phenol air content increased by 58%, hydrogen sulfide and ammonia – has not changed. In the same period last year, the level of air pollution with solid particles (dust/aerosol undifferentiated in composition), sulfur dioxide, carbon with oxide, dioxide nitrogen and ammonia were higher.

The concentrations of the main and specific pollutants in 98% of the measurements did not exceed 0.5 MPC. The maximum of the one -time phenol concentrations was 0.9 MPC, oxide carbon – 0.4 MPC, hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide – 0.3 MPC, ammonia – 0.2 MPC. In the area of ​​the street. Youth, 135 recorded isolated cases of exceeding quality standards by 1.2 times for solid particles (dust/aerosol unfortunated in composition) (April 7) and on nitrogen dioxide (May 8).

In June, the level of air pollution by formaldehyde was lower than in Vitebsk, Polotsk and Orsha. In June last year, the content of formaldehyde in the air was 27%higher. In the area of ​​the street. According to continuous measurements at an automatic station (49 Molodezhnaya St.), the level of air pollution dioxide, compared with the previous quarter, increased 1.7 times, nitrogen with oxide – decreased 2.3 times, carbon with oxide and nitrogen dioxide – decreased by 28% and 34%, respectively.

During the quarter, 4 cases of exceeding the most single MPC by 1.2-1.9 times on sulfur dioxid (April 23-24) were recorded (in the last quarter of the exceeding of the quality standard for sulfur dioxide, no dioxide was recorded). The maximum average daily concentrations of sulfur dioxide and dioxide nitrogen were 0.3 MPC, carbon of oxide and oxide nitrogen – 0.1 MPC.The content in the air of the benzene was stably low.

The level of air pollution by the squirrel ozone in the II quarter, compared with the first quarter of 2020, increased 1.3 times. In the same period in 2019, the content of the squirrel ozone in the air was 2 times lower. During the quarter, 13 days were recorded with the excess of the average daily MPC on the squamous ozone, but these excesses were insignificant. The maximum average daily concentration of the squirrel ozone was noted

The content of cadmium in the air in April-May was preserved stably low. Average in the month of the concentration of lead were below the detection limit.

According to the calculated Ikav values, the state of air in the II quarter, as in the first quarter, was estimated as very good and good, the share of periods with satisfactory atmospheric air quality was insignificant. Compared to the past quarter, the share of periods with moderate air quality increased (from 36% to 73% of the squat ozone). Periods with poor and very poor air quality were absent (drawing).
